Spring Bridals in Salt Lake City - Cody + Eliza - Utah Wedding Photographer

Spring is one of my most favorite times of year, along with many others, I'm sure! Green starts emerging after the long dreary winter and flowers start popping out all over the place. It's a gorgeous time of year especially for weddings. Cody and Eliza have been planning their spring wedding and wanted outdoor bridal portraits, and we couldn't have picked a more beautiful day. The forecast had been back and forth, but the day of bridals was perfectly warm and we had the most gorgeous light!

After looking for what seemed like forever for a great spring location, before spring had officially sprung, we found the perfect place, Garden Park Ward. A gorgeous church house with an even prettier courtyard. Check out the blue wall. Isn't it stunning?

After spending a little time there, we headed to finish off our session at the Salt Lake Temple. A classic place for couples that are getting married there, and it never disappoints! And even though these locations were perfect, and the light was dreamy, this couple was even more gorgeous! I'm so honored that they asked me to do their bridals, and hope these memories will last them a lifetime!

2018 GRAD Kara - Utah Senior Photographer

This sweet cousin of mine is GRADUATING! I can't believe it is already graduation time, this year has been crazy busy and has just flown by! Kara was the start to my senior sessions this year, and it was everything I hoped it would be. We laughed and giggled and I made fun of myself just to get those genuine laughs.

...I really need to up my joke game. It would save me some humiliation!

Kara is headed to Utah State **GO AGGIES** and I know she is bound to accomplish great things. Good luck Kara! And enjoy college!

Herron Family + Blossoms - Utah Family Photographer

There is nothing quite like the first few warm days of spring, when the weather increasingly gets warmer, the birds start singing and the trees start blooming! The Utah State Capitol was the place to be this year for the pretty blooms. It was so crowded with other photographers, families and tourists stopping by to walk along the tree lined path filled with blooms. It was such a pretty sight, especially with this gorgeous family. Their little man was so stinkin' cute! Whenever he was put down, he made a beeline for the grass, running away to go play. He was so cute and had the most adorable smile! These two parents are so lucky to have such a handsome little guy! Enjoy your family photos!

Two Become One - Utah Wedding Photographer

Jessame + Rodrigo

Summer was a gorgeous time. This wedding was unbelievably hot, but it was totally worth it to see these two in love. They were married on a weekday and it made taking pictures at the Salt Lake Temple SO EASY! No one else was there to be married and we basically had the entire grounds to ourselves. Their reception was held at the Lion House and it was my first time being there since I was 8 years old for a friend’s birthday party. I loved how charming and quaint the outdoor garden was their wedding colors (pink and navy) were so adorable and went so well with the location. Jessame and Rodrigo had their family and friends provide the music for the reception. Grandpa played the guitar and sang, and several others sang and played and it was so fun! They also did something so special and unique, something I’ve never seen done before. They sang their first dance song - while dancing!! It was so special and lovely and I wish them so much happiness in the years to come!

The Sweetest Engagements - Utah Engagement Photographer

Emily + Cole

Emily and Cole’s engagement session was nothing short of sweet. Because of time constraints, we weren’t able to go to Emily’s first choice of locations - Silver Lake. She still wanted that sort of feel and so after some searching, I remembered a new park built in Bountiful that would be the perfect place to recreate what the pines at Silver Lake looked like. Even though this new park had tons of visitors, we were able to find so many places to shoot without people in the background because the park is huge! I would definitely recommend this place for engagements again or even a bridal session! It’s so versatile and so gorgeous, especially with the green of summertime!

California Vineyard Country Wedding - California Wedding Photographer

Sierra + Kainon

The most perfect weekend wedding spent in California's famous vineyard countryside. Both their families came from miles apart (Texas to California) but came together for this wonderful occasion. A sun-drenched day was much appreciated after a rainy few days beforehand. Everyone was grateful for the good weather and the most beautiful day!

Their ceremony was one of the sweetest I've ever heard. I loved the message and their vows to each other made me tear up. The best part of this wedding (besides the pet pig named Henry!!) was that my own sweetheart was by my side assisting and second shooting. Every time I'm shooting a wedding with the sweetest vows, first dances and special moments between the bride and groom, I wish my husband was there to experience them with me. And this time he was! I loved that so much!

The party after the ceremony was laid back, fun, and special. All the toasts were so meaningful to the newlywed couple and as always, the first dance was beyond beautiful. The way that Kainon looks at Sierra is how every girl dreams of being looked at. He absolutely treasures her and they are going to be one beautiful and amazing couple.

Congrats Sierra and Kainon! Thanks for letting me be apart of your beautiful and special day.

Intimate Mountain Wedding - Utah Wedding Photographer

I was so privileged to spend a gorgeous summer day with Kent and Lauren as they tied the knot up in the beautiful mountains of Utah. Their ceremony took place at Millcreek Inn up Millcreek canyon in Salt Lake City. This venue was tucked away off the main road surrounded by trees and flowers and birds.
The most important photos to Lauren surprised me. She wanted to make sure I photographed their walk back down the isle after saying 'I do' and her little nieces - which wasn't hard because they were the sweetest little things constantly dancing around in their pretty dresses.
The backdrop for the ceremony was so dreamy and woodsy and perfect for Kent and Lauren. They love spending time in the mountains and so this was the perfect place for their vows. A short reception and party followed and it was so fun to hang out with their families and photograph their beautiful day.
Congrats Kent and Lauren!

Melissa - Viewmont Senior 2018 - Utah Senior Photographer

The sweetest senior ever! And I'm not biased at all, even though she is my sister in law. Missy has a heart of gold, a great example and so talented. During her senior year, she played volleyball, basketball and softball and I was so lucky to take photos in her uniforms to go with her senior session.

Missy is always up for an adventure so we've explored many places together taking photos. I'll never tire of photographing this beauty! She's got the prettiest mermaid hair and the most gorgeous blue eyes. She is funny and thoughtful and I have learned so much from her and look up to her so much - not just literally because I'm short... - and am so grateful that I get to be her sister! Congrats on a great year, making it through high school and getting into UVU. You're gonna rock it Miss!!

WX SENIOR - Matt - Utah Senior Photographer

It's that time of year, the end of school is approaching and I've been busy with SENIORS! I love shooting seniors and getting to know their plans for after graduation and all the fun adventures they are going on!
Matt is a senior at Woods Cross High School and is a drummer! He even brought his drumsticks and I was head over heels to incorporate them in his shoot! I love it when we can document these cool moments for my seniors, so that they can look back and remember all the fun things they did in high school. Whether it be sports, or music, or art, I love adding fun elements to the shoot! Congrats Matt! You're going to do great things at Utah State!!

Emmett Newborns - Utah Family Photographer

Give me all the squishy babies!! I absolutely love newborns, even though photographing them can be hard! Sweet little Emmett was so chill and so calm through his entire session, which included multiple outfit changes and diaper changes. Little Emmett was welcomed by loving parents to this world and has so much family support and love. He has a whole head of hair and the cutest little newborn toes! It's crazy how fast your newborn changes, I saw him 1 week after we did his newborn session and he already looked so much older! Now I look at my 1 year old and it's crazy to think that he was ever this small and snuggly. I treasure the photos I have of my newborn and hope this family does as well. Welcome to the world, Emmett!
